Making a Mobile Office with Thirty One & Giveaway

Before we moved last summer, our office was in the finished basement.  Which also served as our family room and play area for our tribe.

Now, I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that having a large indoor space for children to play is a blessing.  But (you knew that was coming, didn’t you?), there was no door to separate the office from the delightful sounds of children at play (read NOISE). So, I often found myself needing to retreat to a quiet place to grade papers and do other desk related tasks.

And that’s when this lovely number from Thirty-One made it’s debut!

To create your own mobile office you’ll need the following:

  • Thirty-One organizing utility tote
  • Open top file which I purchased from the Container Store but I’ve also seen them at office supply stores like Staples
  • Your stuff (pens, pencils, calculator, files, notebooks, etc.)

The dimensions of the tote are 10.25″(H) x 15.5″ (W) x 6.5″ (D)

5 Exterior pockets, 2 mesh side pockets and a zip-top closure.

Tiffany! Love the new blog! This is such a great organizing idea! I love it’s simplicty!

  3. I’d love to enter the contest, Tiffany! Love your new blog! Thank you for sharing all your tips and tricks! It would be great to see a post about how you do discipline and child traning. Your children are so well-behaved, polite and quiet.

    • Hi Carrie! You do know that my children are not quiet all the time, right?! (wink). A post on child training is a great idea. I would probably start with how to discipline ourselves as parents first!

  4. Love the blog! Hope you are doing well.

    • Thank you Irene! We are doing well, the children have grown up quite a bit since you saw them last. If you visit the blog again be sure to check out the My Tribe page under the Start here tab to see their pictures 🙂

  5. Autumn Cagle says

Great advice! I love this idea for when we are on the run to our various extra-curricular activities.

    • Thanks Autumn! It is definitely a versatile bag, we have one that we use as our in house diaper bag. I put all the necessary changing supplies (cloth diapers, wipes, lotion, etc) in it that way we have everything we need in one place.

  6. I really enjoy your Motherhood Musings and the organization tips have been very nice, as well. At least you are planting ideas in my head. 🙂

  7. That is a neat idea! It is good if your a mom on the go, especially. I have one friend who homeschools in her car. She cleans houses and her daughter does school as they go from place to place. I am constantly working on organization and I appreciate your ideas!
